What kind of fear of God do you have?
Is it good fear or bad fear?
Do you exercise it daily?
Does it yield an evidence of the presence of God in your life?
Is it evident for all to see?
We seem to have our own perceptions about this fear of the Lord and make adjustments of it to suit our living.
I have come to learn and hopefully you will as well that it is a set standard of God provided by the Holy Spirit. You either have it or you don't. There is no in-between as we often like to place the teenets of Christ.
It comes from the Holy Spirit .
It is supernatural.
It is eternal.
It is based on your revelation of the Lord.
It goes hand in hand with wisdom, understanding, discipline and the knowledege of God.
It yields mighty results of peace, longevity, prosperity, riches, blessings that are even transferred to your generation.
It cancels the fear of men. Their opinion of YOU is no greater to God's opinion of YOU.It requires humility and obedience which arethe qualities of a student of the Holy Spirit.
The best example of a man who exercised the fear of the Lord is Jesus Christ Himself while he dwelt on earth.
Daniel also displays the fear of the Lord very well in the idolatrous sinful world, similar to what we are currently in.
This kind of fear allows God to trust you and make a covenant with you. This is the key to becoming a friend of God.
Having this kind of fear makes you appreciate the price that Jesus Christ paid for your life and so you will make a very intentional decision to seek and live in righteousness. You will make an effort to kill your flesh and inequities with the help of the Holy Spirit.
All we have to do is obey the word of God which comes by listening, pray to seek insight and understanding and seek it through the word as it is hidden treasure that is a key to enjoying the blessings of the kingdom of heaven.
Keys: obedience, prayer for insight, understanding and study of the Word of God.
It is so important in your daily living, it sets you apart from those rooted in the world and transforms you to be more like Christ, the hope of Glory that lives inside of you.
